At Honovi Italian Greyhounds, I believe that a healthy start leads to a lifetime of joy. With 10 years of breeding including an 8-year mentorship, my program is dedicated to raising elegant, happy, and well-adjusted companions in the heart of our home.

The Honovi Foundation
Generational Knowledge: My understanding of my dogs goes far beyond a pedigree on paper. Having worked with many generations of my current lines, I possess a deep, firsthand knowledge of the history and lineage behind every puppy I produce.
Advanced Education: My breeding decisions are informed by advanced coursework in Canine Genetics, alongside specialized studies in Ethology (animal behavior). I am deeply committed to ongoing learning to ensure my program remains at the forefront of breed health and temperament.

I don’t just breed for looks; I breed for the future. My program is built on two main pillars:
Health First: All my sires and dams undergo DNA health testing to ensure genetic issues are not passed down to my litters.
Proven Standards: I proudly show my dogs in conformation to ensure they meet the structural and temperamental standards of the breed.


Advanced Puppy Development & Socialization
My puppies are a part of our family from day one. I utilize specific developmental protocols to give them the best possible start:
ENS (Early Neurological Stimulation): I perform daily neurological exercises to improve heart health, strengthen adrenal glands, and increase tolerance to stress.
ESI (Early Scent Introduction): I introduce a variety of scents daily to improve nose awareness and confidence, aiding in long-term cognitive development.
Home Comforts: Raised "underfoot" and out of the pen as much as possible, pups are integrated into daily life with children, cats, and other dogs.
Early Training: I provide a head-start on potty training and sound desensitization to ensure a smoother transition to your home.
Real-World Experience: Weather permitting, I take our pups on outings to desensitize them to the hustle and bustle of the world.
