Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting materials to and from job sites safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations, heavy equipment operation, and vehicle maintenance. The Dump Truck Driver plays a vital part in ensuring timely delivery of materials while maintaining safety standards across all operations.

Duties

• Operate dump trucks to transport construction materials, debris, or other loads to designated locations
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
• Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment, including forklift operation if necessary
• Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
• Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws during transportation
• Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to ensure vehicle functionality
• Assist with the operation of heavy equipment when required for loading or site preparation
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered


Skills

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for dump truck operation
• Experience with heavy equipment operation, including forklifts and other construction machinery
• Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations in transportation
• Ability to perform basic automotive repairs and troubleshooting to maintain vehicle performance
• Strong understanding of traffic laws and safety standards for commercial drivers
• Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines
• Physical ability to load, unload, and secure materials; capable of working in various weather conditions
