Cashier – Esso Gas Station

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Cashier to join our team at Esso. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, handle transactions efficiently, and help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
* Operate the cash register and process cash, debit, and credit transactions accurately
* Handle fuel payments, lottery tickets, and in-store purchases
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, including shelves and checkout area
* Restock merchandise and monitor inventory levels
* Follow all company policies, including safety and security procedures
* Assist customers with inquiries and resolve basic concerns
* Monitor forecourt activity and report any suspicious behavior

Qualifications:

* Previous retail or cashier experience preferred (training provided)
* Strong communication and customer service skills
* Basic math skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
* Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light physical tasks
