Weekly Property Cleaner and site Caretaker
Description
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual for a weekly cleaning and maintenance position at our 24-unit apartment building. The property is located at 140 Heron Drive, Ducks Landing, Stratford (C1B 0L6), conveniently situated near Stratford City Hall.
Weekly Schedule: One visit per week (flexible, but Tuesday or early Wednesday preferred).
Key Responsibilities:
1. Building Cleaning (3 Floors):
• Clean common areas, including hallways and stairwells.
• Wipe down windows/glass on the 3 main entrance doors.
• Sanitize and clean the elevator interior.
2. Specialized Waste & Recycling Management:
• Primary Task: Inspect the wooden collection boxes dedicated to Cardboard and Recycling (Blue Bags).
• Sorting: Ensure items are in the correct bins. Please flatten any cardboard boxes and ensure the area is tidy. This is crucial for a smooth pickup by IWMC collectors on the 4th Wednesday of every month.
• Zero Responsibility for Black/Green Bins: You are NOT responsible for sorting or moving the Black (Waste) or Green (Compost) bins. Each tenant manages their own individual bins, so this is not part of your workload.
3. Site Monitoring & Reporting:
• Report Misuse: While you don't need to clean the private black/green bin areas, we ask that you keep an eye on them. If you notice any illegal dumping or messy behavior in that zone, please take a photo and report it to us immediately.
• Surveillance Support: The waste area is equipped with a full surveillance (CCTV) system. Your reports help us use the footage to identify responsible parties and ensure the entire area remains clean and organized.
The Ideal Candidate:
• High attention to detail regarding site tidiness.
• Reliable and able to communicate via smartphone/photos.
• Able to work independently.
Pay:
