Independent Contractor – Landscaping Services

Overview

Urban Leaf Landscaping is hiring independent contractors to complete residential outdoor services through our contractor platform, URBN. This is a flexible, self-managed role where you choose your workload while having access to consistent, pre-booked jobs.

No prior landscaping experience is required — just reliability, basic tools, and willingness to work.

Services You’ll Perform

You will only be assigned the following services (unless otherwise updated):

Lawn mowing (front/back)
Weed removal
Leaf & twig cleanup
Bush trimming
How the System Works (URBN Platform)

Daily Job Release

At 7:50 AM, you’ll receive a reserved 1 hour 10 minute job ( for 2 days in advance)
You can accept or decline before 12:00 PM
If not accepted, it goes into the public job pool
Public Job Pool

At 12:00 PM, additional jobs (2 days in advance) become available
Includes:
Passed jobs from other contractors
Overflow bookings
First come, first served
Scheduling

Jobs are pre-scheduled with:
~35 minutes travel time between jobs
You can fill your day from:
8:00 AM – 7:30 PM (optional)

Each job includes:

Video explanation from sales associate
Photos of property
Required tools list
Clear task instructions
Pay Structure (Per ~1hr 10min Job)

$75 — Lawn mow (front & back) weed removal
$95 — Front yard leaf & twig cleanup
$105 — Backyard leaf & twig cleanup
$120 — Two lawn services (various combinations)
$115 — Bush trimming
$95 — Weed removal
Bonuses & Incentives

Referral Bonus

$105 bonus when your referral completes 35 services
Adjustment: -$3 per job from company margin
Retention Bonus

$170 bonus after:
1.5 months active
60 completed services
Adjustment: -$3 per job from company margin
Tool Reimbursement

Spend up to $140 on tools (if needed)
Reimbursed after completing 50 services
Adjustment: -$2.80 per job from company margin
Requirements

Minimum Activity

Must complete 5 hours per week
Failure to meet = removal from platform
Attendance

2 no-shows = removal
Referrals

Must refer 1 contractor every 2 months
Failure = removal
Tools Required

You must have (or purchase):

Lawn mower (manual/recommended for cost efficiency)
Pruning clippers
Small garden shovel
Rake
Mini hand saw
Estimated total cost: under $120–$140

Note:

Leaf bags are not reimbursed
Contractors are responsible for ongoing supply purchases
Services You Will Be Expected to Perform

The services you will be assigned include:

Bush trimming
Weed removal
Lawn mowing (front and/or back)
Lawn mowing weed removal
Twig and leaf cleanup
Branch and debris cleanup
Driveway snow shovelling
Walkway snow shovelling
Stair snow shovelling
Flexibility

You are not required to accept daily reserved jobs
Work as much or as little as you want (within minimum requirements)
Full control over your schedule
Support & Emergencies
