37 year old female looking for an entry level construction labourer/helper position after 14 years in healthcare. Fast and eager learner who takes any opportunities to advance knowledge and skills. Often takes self initiative to find opportunities to learn.
Holds a valid class 5 MB drivers licence, owner and sole user of my vehicle. Looking for a company to take me on at entry level so I can learn and advance any skills and experience needed to grow in construction.
I have basic knowledge of some hand tools. I am willing to obtain forklift and skid steer operator certification prior to starting, if required.
I do have some previous education and experience that would be directly relevant to construction including:
-WHMIS certified; Experience working with equipment containing cytotoxic chemicals
-Fire safety training and Fire Extinguisher training
-First Aid/CPR Level C (willing to recertify)
-Falls Prevention and Identifying Safety Risks
-Experience with heavy lifting/pushing (Patient transport and transfers, Transporting isolation carts)
