Shipper- Receiver Lead hand with Logistic duties with Forklift Operating
Mississauga - Derry Rd & Dixie Rd
Pay rate - $25/hr
Morning 7 am to 4 pm
The Shipping and Receiving Lead oversees and coordinates the movement,
storage, and distribution of materials and products to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
This role involves managing logistics staff, optimizing supply chain processes, and ensuring that
raw materials and finished goods are delivered accurately and on time. The Shipping and
Receiving Lead is instrumental in maintaining inventory accuracy, improving operational
efficiency, and supporting the company’s production goals while adhering to safety and
compliance standards.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Lead the logistics team, including warehouse staff, forklift operators, and
shipping/receiving personnel.
• Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and finished goods, ensuring
timely delivery to production lines and customers.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve logistics processes, minimize costs, and
enhance efficiency.
• Ensure inventory accuracy by coordinating regular cycle counts and reconciling
discrepancies.
• Collaborate with production, scheduling, and sales teams to align logistics operations
with overall business objectives.
• Active participation in daily production meetings (DMM)
• Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements for materials
handling and transportation.
• Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs), such as on-time delivery,
inventory turnover, and cost per shipment.
• Identify and resolve logistical challenges, including delays, shortages, or transportation
issues.
• Coordinate with drivers the continuous forklift usage best practices and enforce proper
and safe operation of equipment on daily basis
• Manage relationships with external carriers, suppliers, and third-party logistics
providers.
Other Qualifications and Experiences
• 2 years of logistics or supply chain management leadership experience
• Knowledge of inventory management systems, warehouse operations, and
transportation logistics.
• Familiarity with ERP and logistics software systems.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.
