Extremely athletic guy, ready to go any active direction! Sound, correct, straight. muscled up & ready to be put to consistent work. Cortez is ridden inside, outside, on the trails, and in active working situations. He’s has drug things, pulled kids on the sleds, checked miles and miles of fences and cattle. Smart, behaved, picks his people. Requires an experienced, confident- relaxed hand as he’s high intensity horse. Someone who needs a consistent mount who can use him for a job/ competition. Cortez isn’t a horse to leave for extended periods of time and hop back on, just yet.. he requires structure and routine.
Beautiful mover - great extended walk/ trot/ lope. Collects, engages moves out and forward. - Walk, jog lope, manoeuvres both directions. Simple changes. Lope departures. Cowboy challenge & trail obstacles, no problem. Fine in a warm up ring.
Loads, trailers as well, high pecking order. Hobble broke, good to catch, stands to tie, stands to brush/ tack, cross ties, ground ties, stands to mount. No vices, up-to-date on farrier, deworming, booked for a dental, can get a Coggins test and Vet check at buyers expense.

Would excel as an active working horse, competitive ranch horse, ranch reining, or general performance. Pretty cowy - he’s got the look.
