Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Shop Assistant to support our service/retail location. The ideal candidate will assist with inventory management, procurement, and customer service & repairs ensuring smooth daily operations. Willing to train the right applicant
Responsibilities
• Assist with sourcing and procurement of parts, supplies, and equipment.
• Support data entry related to inventory, purchase orders, and supply chain documentation
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials
• Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and supply chain activities using Sage 50
• Assist in managing warehouse operations, including the use of forklifts when necessary
• Provide exceptional customer service to internal teams and external clients
• Support service with mechanical & electrical repairs
Qualification assets
• Data entry skills with attention to detail
• Knowledge of procurement processes, supply chain management, and sourcing techniques
• Mechanical knowledge
• Ability to operate forklifts safely
• Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and adapt to changing priorities
• Parts apprenticeship possible
