⚠️ SCAM ALERT – BUYER BEWARE ⚠️

There is an individual posing as a British Shorthair kitten breeder on OKz.ca, using multiple newly created accounts in Toronto/GTA to scam people out of deposits.

So far, they have used the names:

* “Elizibeth”
* “Lucy A”
* “Kenzie”

Each ad used stolen photos and videos from legitimate breeders online. Please do not send this person money. Report these ads immediately.

Unfortunately, I fell victim to this scam because everything appeared legitimate at first. They:

* requested my phone number to send “more photos,”
* sent an “adoption confirmation” after receiving my deposit,
* provided a pickup address,
* stayed in contact and responded whenever I messaged.

However, their responses eventually became vague and suspicious. They claimed their family was “recovering from the flu” and said visits would be allowed later. After that, they continued refusing any attempts to visit the kitten in person.

The scammer used the following contact information:

‼️ If you or someone you know has recently contacted this person about a kitten, please warn them immediately.

Protect yourself:

* Be cautious of newly created seller accounts
* Never send deposits upfront
* Always meet breeders in person
* Verify the kitten and seller before sending money

PRO TIP- Use Google reverse image to verify that photos aren’t stolen from online.

I will be filing a police report, and I strongly encourage anyone else affected to do the same. If needed, I’m willing to share additional details to help prevent this from happening to someone else.
