Title: RETAIL SALES ASSOCIATE – Summer Position (2 positions)
Purpose: To provide customers with a quality retail store experience, offering exemplary customer service
Responsibilities:
• Assist customers in finding articles
• Be aware of customers' needs and identify areas in the store that can be improved to meet those needs
• Give out credit slips on returned items
• Assist in promotion of the store
• Sort, price and hang good quality used clothing.
• Box and store off season clothing.
• Dispose of unusable clothing and household articles.
• Maintain order and neatness in store daily - mop floor, tidy displays.
• Design and set-up displays.
• Record all sales through the cash register.
• Record daily sales on forms, complete deposit book and deposit day's receipts in bank.
Qualifications:
• Must be between the age of 15 to 30
• Customer service oriented person with the ability to work with volunteers
• Must be pleasant, honest, enjoy people
• Able to lift heavy items and stand for long periods of time
Job Details:
• 35 hours per week, every Saturday and 4 weekdays (you pick day off)
• Start date to be determined, contract is 8 weeks.
• $17.60 per hour

To be eligible for a position that is funded by Canada Summer Jobs, you will need to be between 15 and 30 years of age.
