Good morning . I own and operate a small scrap iron/ salvage business located in Stonewall, Manitoba. I do exclusively rural/farmayrd cleanups. Haul and salvage heavy machinery like combines, grain trucks, etc. In doing this I very often find fantastic antique items hidden away in barns, graineries, etc. Basically imagine Canadian Pickers on a daily basis.
I NEED HELP!! Seeking one full time person to asiist with everything. Some days operating a hydraulic winch/ crane or skidsteer to load scrap. Some days working at restoring, fixing, cleaning treasures to be sold online. Some days just driving around doing site assements or treasure hunting. In winter I try to hoard up alot of indoor work to keep us busy.
YOU MUST HAVE a drivers liscense and means to get to work in Stonewall. Basic concept of hand tools and operating anything is useful. If you can run a riding lawnmower at very least I can teach you how to push a hydraulic lever on the truck and move a skidsteer across a worksite. PLEAE NOTE that anyone applying from an hour or more drive away, saying they are retired and this "sounds like fun" or are looking to keep busy will be ignored. This is serious full time long term work, not a hobby. I am 55 and prefer someone younger, possibly into online gaming, a movie buff, etc so at least there is a conversation when on a 2 hr road trip to explore a property or driving to a worksite. At very least someone that can climb on something or pick up something on the floor that I can no longer do. Generous wage, lots of cool takehome treasures, never the same day 2x in a row. I am not looking for just a punch card employee but someone that sees this sork of thing is a lifestyle and is willing to be part of growing this business into more than it currently is.
