Description
We are a well-established cattle feedlot operation located just north of Ponoka, Alberta and we are currently seeking reliable, hardworking individuals to join our team in the following roles:

* Feeding Equipment Operator

As a feed truck operator, you will be responsible for delivering precise feed rations to our cattle pens in a timely and efficient manner. This role is essential to supporting daily nutrition and overall herd performance. Key Duties include:

- Operating a self propelled, self loading feed delivery truck to mix, load and deliver feed according to established rations and schedules
- Monitoring feed quality and equipment
- Performing basic maintenance and keeping the equipment clean and in good working order.

* Pen Checker
As a pen checker you will play a critical role in maintaining the health and welfare of our cattle. You will go through the pens daily to observe and identify any signs of illness, injury or distress in the cattle. Key duties include:
- Monitoring cattle for outward signs of sickness (e.g. , respiratory issues, lameness or abnormal behaviour.
- Sorting and moving sick or injured animals to hospital pens using low stress handling techniques.
- Assisting with cattle movements, shipments and general yard operations.

Ideal candidates:
- Strong observation skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
- Reliable, punctual and safety concious
- Valid class 5 driving license, experience with farm equipment is an asset.
