Posting for a client!

This is not an easy post to make as I thought I was going to keep her.



River is a 14.1–14.2hh grade Quarter Horse mare who I truly wasn’t planning on selling. Unfortunately, due to having to retire my gelding sooner than expected, I can’t keep them both, so she is back up for sale through no fault of her own.



River came to me as a rescue in October 2025, and since then we’ve been slowly working on the basics. She is:

• Catching & leading

• Picking up her feet

• Wearing blankets



She is still timid with people, but with consistency and kindness she does warm up and try. River will need someone patient, understanding, and willing to take the time to build her confidence and continue her foundation.



She is not broke and will require further training before being ridden. (I am 5’10 and too tall for her, so I have also not ridden her.) She has had one foal in the past.



This girl has a soft heart—she just needs the right person to bring it out.
