One of the coolest finds ive ever come across. This is a sales book from the west Flamborough ( Waterdown) general store circa 1922. It lists every purchase by every customer for the 1922 year. You can see the items the customers purchased, along with what the price of everyday items was at that time. Also you can see their signatures. The surnames of the families that lived in Waterdown at that time are all clearly visible. Im sure there are ancestors of those people that still live in Waterdown. So utterly cool. Hauntingly beautiful too, all those people are all gone now, gone forever. They left a piece of themselves though in this innocuous book. The West Flamborough Archives Museum has already gotten in contact with me and I have an appointment with them at the Waterdown library.
