Job Summary

Under the administrative direction of the Controller, this individual will aid in the daily operations of the business in regards to inventory, accounts payable, sales, accounts receivable, invoicing, and other administrative duties as assigned by the manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

Calculate, prepare and issue documents related to accounts such as bills, invoices, inventory reports, account statements and other financial statements using computerized and manual systems
Create, verify and maintain Government Statistics reports
Code, total, batch, enter, verify and reconcile transactions such as accounts payable and receivable, payroll, purchase orders, cheques, invoices, cheque requisitions, and bank statements electronically
Creating and maintaining Excel spreadsheets
Respond to customer inquiries, maintain good customer relations, solve problems and be comfortable communicating with customers on the phone and email.
Perform related clerical duties, such as word processing, maintaining filing and record systems, faxing, scanning and photocopying
The chosen individual may be required to travel from time to time to different offices or to local banks
This position requires a lot of independent management and problem solving. The individual will from time to time face complex problems demanding solutions that will need to be creative and require independent thought.

Employment Requirements:

Strong knowledge of Excel
Completion of Secondary School is required
Completion of College or other university courses in finance or accounting is required
