I use ONLY 6k carbon fiber (no wooden inserts or fiberglass sleeves) and a customized reflex technology system that retains the kick point and flex by maintaining a hollow shaft and adds only around 30 grams of weight. HSM and other repair shops use a system that involves pouring epoxy resin down the shaft onto a sponge that ends up hardening solid like a brick. This cheap, and quick method not only retards the kick-point and flex, but adds as much as 80 grams to the weight of the stick.
