Skilled Carpenter Full-Time

Job Description
Black Bear Builders Corp. is seeking an experienced and reliable Carpenter to join our construction team in Banff, Alberta. This role is ideal for a skilled professional who can work independently and deliver high-quality workmanship across residential and commercial projects. This is a full-time position for a one-year term with the possibility of extension based on performance and workload.

Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Prepare layouts using measuring tools
- Cut, shape, assemble, and install wood and other construction materials
- Construct foundations; frame floors, walls, and roof systems
- Install doors, stairs, trim, moldings, and hardware
- Perform repairs, renovations, and maintenance
- Maintain quality standards and job-site efficiency

Hours of Work & Payment
- Rate per hour $36.00
- Full-time: 40 hours per week or more, depending on project needs
- Schedule may vary based on weather, site conditions, and timelines
- Paid at 1.5× the regular rate after 44 hours/week or 8 hours/day (Alberta Employment Standards)

Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of carpentry experience
- Ability to work independently
- Valid driver’s license (asset)
