Position: Wood products inspector and assembler (NOC 94211)

Duties for the role:
• Read and interpret cabinet drawings, layouts, and cutting lists to determine assembly requirements
• Prepare cabinet components by trimming, sanding, and fitting panels, doors, and drawers for precise alignment
• Assemble cabinet boxes, frames, shelves, and doors using screws, dowels, glue, clamps, and other fasteners
• Check measurements, joints, and finishes to ensure accuracy and product quality before installation
• Install hardware such as hinges, handles, drawer slides, and other fittings according to design specifications
• Inspect completed units for defects, alignment, and surface finish, making adjustments or repairs when needed
• Assist in organizing materials, maintaining tools, and performing light maintenance on woodworking equipment
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and efficient work environment
Requirements for the role:
• Completion of high school is required
• At least one year work experience as a similar role. Previous experience in woodworking, cabinet assembly, or furniture manufacturing industry is highly desired
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work under minimal supervision
