Job Title: Entry-Level Field Operations Technician – Fixed Wireless Internet
About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Entry-Level Field Operations Technician to join our fixed wireless internet team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, learning new technologies, and working both indoors and outdoors. No prior telecommunications experience is required—we provide training for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with the installation and setup of fixed wireless internet equipment at customer locations
• Help mount, align, and secure antennas and wireless radios under supervision
• Perform basic troubleshooting of internet connectivity issues
• Conduct simple site checks to assess signal quality and installation requirements
• Learn to test signal strength and network performance using provided tools
• Complete service documentation accurately and on time
• Provide friendly, professional customer service during on-site visits
• Follow all safety procedures, including ladder and rooftop safety
• Support senior technicians with maintenance and upgrade tasks
Required Qualifications
• Basic comfort using computers, smartphones, and mobile apps
• Willingness to learn networking and wireless technology concepts
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Comfortable with ladders
• Valid working at heights certificate
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift and carry equipment (up to [weight, e.g., 50 lbs])
Preferred (But Not Required)
• Any experience with technical, construction, electrical, or installation work
• Interest in networking, IT, or telecommunications
• Customer service or field-based work experience
• Basic familiarity with home networking (routers, Wi-Fi, Ethernet)
