Contracted to perform Asphalt maintenance duties for First Stop Contracting Inc.
Location: Blackfalds / Red Deer Region and around Central Alberta.
Seasonal: May 1st - November 1st (Weather Dependant; 2025 season started late May and season was extended to nov 20 due to weather)

Operational Scope:
Position: Field Operator.
As a primary contractor for First Stop Contracting Inc., we deliver high-performance asphalt preservation, repairs, and top coating applications. Aswell as advanced GoNano Aspalt shingle and concrete sealant applications.
You will be responsible for executing the following service lines:
* Ashpalt Restoration: Hot asphalt and infrared repairs, recycled ashpalt paving, and hot asphalt paving.
* Preservation & Maintenance: Application of rubberized crack sealant, asphalt cleaning and prep, and high-tier top coating/seal coating.
*Precision Striping: Parking lot layout and line painting.
*Advanced GoNano Applications: Specialized protective treatments for asphalt shingle roofing and concrete surfaces.
Engagment & Flexibility Requirments:
This is a seasonal, high-demand role. Due to the nature of surface treatments, we do not operate during rain or adverse weather conditions.
* Variable Hours: 10-60 hours per week based on project volume.
* Operational Readiness: During peak periods, expect up to a 7-day work week.
* Shift Windows: Typical site operations run between 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. However, daily schedules range from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM to accommodate critical pre-job preperation and post-job site Reclamation.
Compensation Pathways:
* Incorporated Contractor: (B2B): $20 - $35 an hour. Requires $1M Liability Insurance and an active Alberta Corporation.
* Potential Monthly Bonuses if all requirements of First Stop Contracting Inc. are met within that month, if all monthly targets are met, potential for end of season bonus aswell. the better we perform, the more we can earn.
Core Requirements:
* Mechanical Aptitude: Ability to perform opertator-level care and daily inspections on machinery.
* Logistics: Valid Class 5 license, a reliable vehicle to get to shop, and the ability to maneuver trailers (Asset).
* Compliance: Mandatory rubber steel-toe boots.
* Ability to communicate technical job notes in english, read and write fluent english.

We are a small family run company, you will directly be working with me in the field, the owner of fscinc. is acting as the salesmen and asset manager. this is not a difficult job, the average job takes 2-6 hours to complete. weather pending of course. must be flexible with hours, and available for work on relatively short notice.
if the season gets busier than expected we may be looking for a 2nd hire as a simple "grunt" worker to assist in speeding up job completions.
