Description
Experienced landscape construction specialist required for a well established landscaping company located in Halifax Nova Scotia since 1993.

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Landscaper with a strong background in hardscape construction and site development.
The ideal candidate is a "doer" who takes pride in precision, understands structural integrity, and isn't afraid of a little heavy lifting.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
• Hardscape Construction: Lead the installation of pavers, natural stone walkways, and patios.
• Structural Elements: Construct timber and stone retaining walls, ensuring proper drainage and base preparation.
• Woodworking: Build and install outdoor wood structures, including pergolas, privacy screens, and raised garden beds.
• Softscape Installation: Interpret planting plans to install trees, shrubs, and perennials; execute grading and sod installation.
• Equipment Operation: Safely operate and maintain a variety of machinery, including skid steers, mini-excavators, plate compactors, and power saws.
• Site Preparation: Calculate material needs and manage site elevations to ensure proper water runoff and structural stability.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Proven Experience: Minimum 2–3 years in landscape construction or a related trade.
• Tool Fluency: Expert-level knowledge of hand and power tools (e.g., masonry saws, levels, drills, and pneumatic tools).
• Physical Stamina: Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Attention to Detail: A "measure twice, cut once" mentality with a focus on clean lines and level surfaces.
• Valid Driver’s License: Ability to transport equipment to various job sites.

Payscale: $19 - $32 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.
30-50 hrs per week.
