About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Forklift Operator/Shipper to join our operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating material-handling equipment, preparing outgoing shipments, and ensuring the efficient flow of products throughout the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers with accuracy and care.
Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to company standards.
Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy, quality, and completeness.
Maintain organized and clean warehouse aisles, storage areas, and staging zones.
Perform regular equipment inspections and report any maintenance needs.
Use warehouse management systems (WMS) or related software for tracking inventory.
Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to meet shipping deadlines.
Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environment.
Qualifications
Valid forklift certification
Previous experience in a warehouse, shipping/receiving, or forklift operating role.
Strong understanding of safe lifting procedures and equipment operation.
Ability to read packing slips, shipping documentation, and inventory labels.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Physically capable of lifting up to [insert weight requirement] and performing repetitive tasks.
Preferred Skills
Experience with WMS or inventory systems.
Knowledge of logistics, freight handling, or warehouse best practices.
