Despite the warm weather this week, our huts are still sitting on 16 inches of solid black ice.
For reference, safe black ice is typically 6–8 inches, so conditions are still good.

The rain actually helped insulate the ice, and with the colder temperatures returning, the surface water will likely freeze again.

That said, this will be the final weekend of the season.
