Description
We are now seeking help for the following position: Building Operator
Starting Wage: $21.00 per hour
Days: Monday to Friday Hours: 8:00am to 5pm, 1 hour lunch
Uniform: Company shirt provided. Pants and closed toe shoes not provided.
Location: Downtown

Responsibilities:
• Clean and maintain designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, wipe downs, etc)
• Perform and document routine inspections
• Follow all health and safety regulations
• Communicate professionally with our clients
• Answer phone and respond to voice messages and emails
• Maintain building security
• Oversee and authorize invoices
• Yard work – Maintain flower beds & minimal snow shoveling in winter
• Occasional wall repairs and painting

Contractor & Work Coordination
• Triage issues to determine required trade (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.).
• Dispatch, schedule, and coordinate contractors for service work.
• Obtain and manage quotes, estimates, and invoices.
• Ensure timely follow-up and completion of all work.

Requirements:
• Speak, read and write fluent English
• Highly personable and friendly
• Ability to manage trades, and triage maintenance issues.
• Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets
• Must be in good physical condition
• Must be adaptive to ever changing situations
• Experienced using ladders and performing roof-level inspections
• Familiar with office operations and programs

Assets:
• Experience with access control systems, intercoms and video surveillance
• General knowledge of doors, motors, pumps, mechanical systems
• Proven work experience in this or similar industry
