Located in the heart of Whiteshell Provincial Park, Eagle Nest Lodge is a family-owned island resort that has welcomed guests for over 60 years. Accessible only by boat or plane, the lodge offers a unique live-in work experience surrounded by nature.
We are seeking a motivated individual with a passion for cooking and baking to join our kitchen team. This role focuses on preparing hearty breakfasts, baking fresh breads and desserts, and assisting with second chef duties.
Responsibilities include:
Preparing breakfast for all, lunch, and dinner for lodge staff
Baking fresh bread, rolls/buns, and daily desserts or cookies
Assisting with general kitchen preparation and second chef duties
Maintaining a clean, organized kitchen environment
Working collaboratively with a small, dedicated team
What we offer:
$1,000 signing bonus after completing 50 days of work
Live-in employment at a scenic island resort
Hands-on training in a supportive team environment
Employment term: Mid-May through October
A mid-summer break in early July to visit family and friends can be coordinated
This is a rare opportunity to spend a season working in a beautiful wilderness setting while building strong working relationships with a like-minded team.
