Learn how to create educational, guideline-compliant EarthCaches and Planetary EarthCaches using standards from the Geological Society of America and Geocaching HQ.

This hands-on Earth science workshop is perfect for:

What is geocaching?
Imagine a global, high-tech treasure hunt where millions of hidden containers are waiting to be found using your phone—and on April 12th, we’re teaching you the secret art of building 'invisible' gadgets and camouflage to hide your own!

You’ll learn:
✔ What makes a strong educational EarthCache
✔ How to design observation-based logging questions
✔ How to obtain land permissions and meet guidelines
✔ How to build a conservation message into your cache
✔ How to create a Planetary EarthCache extension

Participants will receive all the information and directions necessary to build their own quality EarthCache.
