Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves safely operating commercial vehicles to transport freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest safety standards. Responsibilities
Safely operate trucks for local or long-distance freight deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues
Maintain accurate delivery logs, inspection reports, and other required documentation
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transit
Perform minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle operability
Operate heavy equipment safely when required for loading or unloading freight
Assist with warehouse operations including inventory management and freight organization as needed
Qualifications
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
Experience in commercial driving, freight transportation, or related fields preferred
Knowledge of heavy equipment operation such as forklifts is a plus
Ability to perform basic automotive repair and troubleshooting tasks
Strong understanding of safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and freight handling
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
Physical ability to lift heavy loads and perform manual tasks associated with loading/unloading freight
