HOME RAISED AUSTRALIAN SHEPHERD PUPPIES with natural long tails.

We have 5 100% full standard Australian Shepherd puppies born on February 1, 2026 and ready for their new homes on March 29, 2026.

Parents are both very loving and gentle dogs with great personalities.  Mother is our 3rd generation Black tri and Father is a red merle. 

These puppies have been raised in our living room and have lots of handling.  The are happy and active puppies.  The parents are both on site and we have been breeding for more than 20 years.

The puppies will be vet checked, have their first set of puppy vaccines and been dewormed.  They are eating President’s Choice Nutrition First Puppy. They come with a puppy pack (including collar and leash, toy, treats, blanket, 3 pounds of food, toy, blanket and brush).  

In this litter we have:

1 blue merle female with natural LONG TAIL
2 blue merle males with natural BOBTAILS
1 black tri female with natural LONG TAIL
1 black tri male with natural BOBTAIL
Both black tris have basically full black faces with tan highlights.

Some things to think about below for buyers seriously interested in one of our puppies to see if an Australian Shepherd (herding breed) fits into your lifestyle.  We are looking for a match where both the family and the puppy will be happy.  You can email smitty1953@live.ca if you are interested in a puppy and feel that they would be a good addition to your family.
 
--  All the primary/adult members of the household should agree in getting the puppy.
 
-- If you have young children, you should be willing to train both the puppy and the child/children in the correct way to interact. Aussies are not always suited to families with small children as they are a herding dogs have herding instincts.

--Do you live in a house with a fenced in back yard?
 
-- Have you researched Australian Shepherds and know that they are an active breed who needs balance with the whole family being on the same page when training.

-- Do you have a fenced yard?: If not, what accommodations are you going to your puppy gets adequate exercise and in a safe environment?: 

If your puppy/dog is unvaccinated, or has only had part of their primary course of vaccines, keep them safe by following the guidance below:
Don’t allow them on the ground in public places – it’s fine to take them out, but make sure you carry them.
Don’t allow them to socialise with any unvaccinated dogs from outside of your household.
Don’t bring any new/unknown dogs into your home.
They are safe to go into your garden, as long as no unvaccinated dogs have visited recently, and it’s secure from foxes.

If you wish to come and see the puppies let us know. If you wish to purchase a puppy a $300 cash deposit is required to hold the puppy.  Puppies are $1200 for blue merles and $1000 for black tris.
 
Aussies are an intelligent, medium-sized dog with strong guardian instincts. The Australian Shepherd Female average weight is 40 to 55 pounds. They are a delightful and loyal companion and a great family dog. They love to be part of the daily hustle and bustle. They are easy to train, easy to housebreak, and eager to please.
 
They do require exercise and love to play. Jogging, Frisbee, fetch or a trip to go for a walk on a walking path are all great activities for this athletic breed. Australian Shepherds are also quite content to curl up by your feet (a nice combination of both is a perfect environment for an Aussie). Aussies are high energy, very versatile dogs who enjoy having a job to do.
 
Aussies have been used as seeing-eye dogs, as utility dogs to the physically handclapped, hearing aid dogs, and search and rescue dogs. Many go with their owners as volunteers to children's homes and nursing homes to do therapy work. We have produced puppies that are service dogs, therapy dogs, have learned trick training and agility plus more.
 
We live 55 minutes west of London, 1 1/2 hours from Windsor, 2 hours from Hamilton and around 3 hours from Toronto. We live in Chatham-Kent 55 minutes west of London between Rodney and Ridgetown. Convenient to the 401.
