   Melanson Motors is proud to offer this meticulously restored 1968 Pontiac GTO.  Imported to Canada in 2002 from New Jersey, this car was purchased as a restoration project. It was subsequently nut and bolt restored in the following years. The restoration was excellent and the car is stunning! This Pontiac has PHS documentation and was born as a 400ci, 4 speed manual with console, hideaway headlight and power steering GTO. It still retains its numbers matching 400ci engine and 4 speed transmission. This GTO also has a functional hood tach and air conditioning. The rear end is a 3.23 Safe-T-Track and the car starts and drives extremely well. At the time of restoration, the car was painted Charcoal Gray Metallic with black interior. It was born Alpine Blue over Teal. The paint is very good and the body is straight with consistent gaps. The interior is flawless! Inside a proper style 3 spoke Pontiac steering wheel sits in front of a perfect dashboard restored by Just Dashes in California. The AM FM radio is an Antique Automobile model and upgraded speakers are installed in the rear.  The console is in excellent condition with a Hurst shifter and storage compartment. The carpet, seats, door panels and headliner are all new at the time of restoration.  Underneath, this Pontiac is very clean. The  floors have been painted black and the gas tank is new. The dual exhaust is new with Dynomax mufflers and MBRP chrome tips. 

     This GTO rides on 17” Year One Pontiac Rally II wheels. The tires are Firestone Firehawk Indy 500. The opportunity to own a documented, beautifully restored, numbers matching, excellent driving 1968 Pontiac GTO with A/C, power brakes and power steering does not come around very often!
