- opens and closes gates, roped off and dragged calves to the branding pot
- more whoa than go, kids can ride if with others like trail riding or pasture checking
- use a loose rein with a snaffle bit, spurs help
- is real cowy and because of his cutting blood from the famous Play Guns, his Grand Sire, once he is asked to lock onto a cow, he is all business
- Tommy is susceptible to laminitis from ingesting early spring forage/grass that is high in sugar content so he is kept in a corral from April - August
- turn him out to pasture late summer to early spring and is fed hay in the winter with the other horses
- has shoes on front feet early spring to fall then barefoot
- shoes went on April 22 and dewormed, about to have them refitted
