Hardwood Sawdust (In bulk or by the bag)

Sawdust is a natural solution to many problems.

Excellent for:
- Mulching/reducing weeds,
- Making pathways in your garden,
- Growing mushrooms
- Adding to compost with a high nitrogen content (lots of greens, grass/leaves/weeds or manure),
- Making dense soils more workable,
- Improving water retention,
- Bedding for chicken coop or worm bins,
- And lots more.

As natural and as local as it gets. This sawdust came directly from our firewood processor which uses a circular saw so it is free of the chain saw oil residue common with smaller processors. We have it in our yard ready for pickup or delivery.

Caution
1. As fresh sawdust will absorb nitrogen from the soil it is in direct contact with it is great for weed control but you do not want to mix it into a garden or place them over seeds you are trying to germinate.
2. Fresh sawdust is excellent for making paths in a garden but do not till it into your garden until it is substantially decomposed unless you add a source of nitrogen (manure/fertilizer/grass clippings/etc.) at the same time. Sawdust is high in carbon and without a source of nitrogen it could take years to break down into a good growth medium.

We sell our Hardwood Sawdust in bulk for pickup at $26.00/yard or $13.00/half yard and in bags for $8.50 each (2.1 cubic foot (60 litres) per bag), all prices include taxes. We also can provide delivery for an additional fee.
