Hi! I'm Karli, a 32-year-old disabled woman and wheelchair user. I currently live in Beaumont and work from home as a writer, creator, and consultant.

I'm looking to hire someone responsible, reliable, & fun who encourages my independence, and respects my household and requests.

(Note: you may have seen me post this ad before — I often hire students and others looking for short-term or casual work, hence the turnover rate. I would love to find folks hoping for a long-term position, though!)

My PCAs assist me with things like:

- Personal care (hygiene, toileting, dressing, feeding, transferring/positioning, etc.)
- Cooking/meal prep
- Homemaking/organization
- Cool stuff related to my many freelance gigs
- Accompanying me to appointments
- Other ordinary (& sometimes extraordinary!) human activities

Every shift is a mix of routine and ad-libbing. If you've never done something like this before, don't fret! Previous experience isn't necessary—it's an easy job to get in the swing of since you already do most of the tasks for yourself (like getting dressed) and I'll provide paid training for everything else.

Additional details about the job

- NO prior experience or certifications needed (I promise!)
- day and evening shifts available, but primarily looking to fill dayshifts (typically 8 AM - 3 PM) OR 1-2 full days per week, with periods of downtime ($200/day)
