Flooring Installation Assistant
Join our team helping install hardwood and sheet vinyl flooring in school gymnasiums across Manitoba.
Salary: $17.50 – $19.00/hour (based on skill level)
Position Starts: Immediately
Work Hours
• Monday to Saturday
• 7:30am-5:30pm
• 40 hours plus overtime
What You'll Do:
• Unload and carry heavy materials like maple hardwood
• Help lay and install flooring using tools and adhesives
• Work in teams of 2–3 people
• Use power tools (training provided)
• Kneel, bend, and move throughout the job site
What We're Looking For:
• Responsible and reliable
• Good attention to detail
• Positive attitude and ability to follow instructions
• Comfortable walking, standing, kneeling, or lifting
• Available to work Monday to Saturday
• Own transportation to our shop in Headingley (near Nick's Inn – no bus service)
• Valid driver's license and personal vehicle required

Job Involves:
• Heavy lifting of materials (hardwood flooring up to 50 lbs)
• Unloading heavy materials from the truck
• Moving materials around the jobsite
• Using power tools to cut and install hardwood flooring
• Bending and kneeling to lay out flooring accurately
• Following instructions and working closely with the crew
• Maintaining attention to detail
• Bringing a positive attitude to the team
• Occasional out-of-town work and overnight stays to complete projects
