Concrete Grinding & Polishing Operators

Fēnix Finish - Toronto, ON

Responsibilities:

-Prepare floors for a variety of processes.

-Ability to set up, maintain, and clean equipment and tools.

-Perform basic inspections of equipment

(ie. electrical connections in order, grinder and vacuum maintenance, transformers operating and functioning).

Primary Responsibilities:

-Grinding concrete & polishing the surfaces with large walk behind grinders and hand grinders.

-Drill or cut out concrete imperfections to prepare the area for patching.

-Usage of sprayers to seal concrete pour, mix and work with various water-based liquids.

-Notify site supervisor when equipment needs repair or maintenance.

Other Functions:

-Communicate respectfully and efficiently with co-workers and management.

-Ability to set up equipment with trailers / cube vans.

-Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

-Willingness to learn

Job Type:

-Full-time Hourly wage inexperienced candidates starting at: $19.00/hr / uncapped and performance up to $25.00/hr for 2024 (commensurate on experience).
$26 for 2026 onwards with flexible increase of pay based on experience and leadership.

-Paid training

-OverTime pay = Time and a half

-Holiday workday = Double (usually off long weekends)

-Potential Salary Range (Year 1) = $50,000 - $75,000

Rapid rate for growth and bonus allowances.

Required education: High school or equivalent
