PERSONAL CARE ASSISTANT
Permanent part time position-PORTERS LAKE
(Mornings 3 hrs per shift, 7:30am-10:30am)

QUALIFICATIONS (must have)
 Reliable, honest, punctual, courteous and respectful of privacy
 Willingness to learn personal care procedures, experience an asset (but not necessary)
 Ability to accommodate flexible scheduling of shifts
 Ability to multi task, take direction and work independently with minimal supervision
 Ability to undertake light housekeeping and assist with light meal preparation
 Must have own transportation
 Must be very physically fit, able to assist with transfers and lifting, passive range of motion exercises
 Ability to carry out regular housekeeping duties (floors/laundry/dishes)
 Knowledge/training in foot care (Nice to have)
 Knowledge of body mechanics

• Current Criminal Background/Vulnerable Persons Check
• Valid NS Drivers License
• References

JOB PARTICULARS
 Excellent hourly rate of pay with, CPP, EI, Fed Tax and vacation pay
 Position located in Porters Lake NS
 Scent Free Home, Non-Smoking-Small dog present
