EMPTY Vintage Kentucky Tavern Bourbon Whiskey Bottle Decanter 1953 Owen's Illinois Glass Co.
The numbers/letters embossed on the bottom of the bottle is "D8 65 53." The "D8" indicates the distillery permit number, the "65" indicates the bottle manufacturer permit number which means it was made by Owens-Illinois Glass Company, and "53" was the year it was made. After the numbers is the trademark for Owens-Illinois Bottle Company.
On the front side of the bottle, these words are embossed, "Federal law forbids sale or reuse of this bottle." All liquor bottles sold in the U.S. that were made between 1935 and 1964, were required to have this phrase.
There are also the words "Kentucky Tavern" on the front of the bottle in gold lettering.
No chips or cracks.
