Offroad Canadian Army M-101 Trailer - Heavily modified, this is the best offroad, multi-purpose trailer anywhere. M-101s were built tough - but without a tail gate - so we installed a 2" thick kevlar tailgate to gain better access. We also installed steel mesh step panels on the corners.
*Screw jacks on both rear corners allow easy leveling of the trailer (your Roof Top Tent basecamp). Tires are 16" Cooper ATF's with less than 600km on them and we include a spare rim with an original Michelin Army tire. It also has Bearing Buddies and the grease gun to lube them. A custom rack of 2.5" rectangular steel allows an RTT to be mounted at the optimum height for quick setup and access.
* Two 30 liter MDPE water tanks are installed inside on opposite sides, are linked together, and can be filled or flushed (exterior ports) from any faucet with a garden hose. The tongue is 2" square tube and allows any hitch type to be mounted and a theft-proof steel collar protects your hitch lock from thieves. * We lengthened the short tongue on our M-101 to prevent jack-knifing they're prone to when backing up. It tracks beautifully on trails, backroads and at freeway speeds.
* Our M-101 is somewhat theft proof. The wheels are not the usual wheel not-on-stud design commonly used on vehicles. M-101 rims are mounted using a specially threaded bolt - the reverse of car, truck and commercial trailer designs. If camping in a dicey area, take off a wheel, throw it in the truck (6 minute job) and your basecamp will be there when you get back.
* The trailer also has a gasketed, HDPE tongue box for storing propane tanks, tools, wheel chocks, etc. This M-101 also comes with the original heavy duty rubber tarp in mint condition.
