Responsibilities

Assemble and disassemble equipment components as needed for repairs or upgrades.
Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively to complete repairs and maintenance tasks.
Conduct inspections of heavy machinery to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance schedules.
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
Assist in the training of junior mechanics or apprentices when necessary.
Perform heavy lifting as required during equipment repairs or maintenance tasks.
Qualifications

Proven experience as a mechanic, with a focus on heavy equipment preferred.
Strong knowledge of automotive repair techniques and principles.
Familiarity with industrial equipment operations and maintenance practices.
Ability to read and interpret schematics for troubleshooting purposes.
Proficient in the use of power tools and hand tools relevant to mechanical work.
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
