Collective Care Staffing is a healthcare agency that takes pride in providing high quality care services to homes and healthcare facilities.

Job Description
We provide temporary staffing assignments to healthcare facilities throughout the Greater Toronto Area. We are looking for on-call and casual, compassionate, and committed Personal Support Workers/ Developmental Support Workers to work various shifts: 6 – 12 hour day or night, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Candidates who meet the minimum requirements can start immediately.

Qualifications
Successful completion of an approved Personal Support Worker Diploma/Certification from a recognized program at an accredited college or university

Successful completion of an approved Developmental Service Worker Diploma/Certification from a recognized program of an accredited college or university

CPR/First Aid (required)

Pharmacology (preferred)

Safe management (required)

Valid G license (preferred)

Vulnerable Sector Check completed in the last 6 months (required)

Previous experience in assisting clients with basic personal care

1 year of experience is desirable

**Experience with developmental disabilities, dual diagnosis, dementia, mental health, and complex behavioral needs is strongly preferred.**

Basic computer skills

Demonstrate the ability to follow through with requests

Demonstrate the ability to work effectively within a team environment

Capable of working independently and able to take direction

Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends



Duties and responsibilities
assist with personal care needs of patients, including preventative skin care, hygiene, grooming and dressing, nutrition, and assisting in toileting when needed
Meal preparation: ensure breakfast, lunch, and dinner are prepared
Assist clients with meals if they require assistance
Administer and record prescribed medication as per instructions from a medical practitioner and follow medication policies and procedures
Assist clients with activities of daily living
Monitor and report any change in client's well-being
Assist clients at appointments
Support clients at day programs
Provide daily supervision
Ensure environment around residents are kept clean and safe
Assist with housekeeping duties
Fulfil other related duties as assigned by the management team
In this position, staff may be required to work with COVID positive patients when assigned.
