I have 40 large Muscovy ducklings for sale… I have bought and sold enough chicks and ducklings to know that many buyers aren't aware that their birds might have coccidiosis and ducklings and chicks are very weak to that.
So to ensure survival in their new homes and prevent infection, I treat my babies with Amprol for 5 days … believe it or not many people don't have a high degree of bio security and could spread diseases from their adult birds to their new babies by simple handling or by previously used waters/feeders (even from other chicks and ducklings). Most people buy chicks or ducklings and all of the sudden they look sick or find the next day that some babies randomly passed away unexplained …..chances is, they got a cross-contamination and got coccidiosis. This can be picked up from the walls of coops, nesters, walls of a barn (especially if there is other livestock) so we make sure we put in extra care so you don't have too. Our ducklings are fed non-medicated grain.
