Role Description:

This is a full-time on-site role for a Sous Chef with Banquet Experience at Sala San Marco in Ottawa, ON. The Sous Chef will be responsible for assisting the head chef in meal preparation, managing kitchen staff, maintaining food quality and safety standards, and overseeing kitchen operations. The role will involve collaborating with the culinary team to create and execute menu items for events.

Qualifications:

Culinary skills, such as food preparation and cooking techniques
Menu planning and recipe development abilities
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
Team management and leadership skills
Creativity and attention to detail in food presentation
Experience working in a high-volume kitchen environment
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Formal culinary education or certification is a plus
