Hobo Camper Country is looking to hire an experienced RV Technician and Shop Helper in the Calgary area

• RV Technician must have experience in the trade, a driver's license
• Shop Helper must have some experience with hand tools and willing to learn,

Shop Helper Job Description
1 – Keep the shop clean
2 – Maintain yard space
3 – Help customers hitch/ unhitch trailers
4 – Assist technician when needed
5 – do minor repairs ( supervised )

Technician Job Description
1 - Troubleshoot and diagnose units needing repair and maintenance.
2 - Install, repair and maintain interior and exterior components on motor homes, travel trailers,
fifth wheel trailers, truck campers, tent trailers.
3 - Installation of accessories;
4 - Repair and maintenance on propane gas and electric appliances such as furnaces,
refrigerators, water heaters, ranges and air conditioners
5 - Repairs to fiberglass, body and structural components; and the ability to install, repair,
replace and maintain roofs, siding, windows, doors, vents, awnings, floor coverings,
cabinets, counters, plumbing systems, electrical systems, propane gas systems, batteries and
charging systems.
6 - Install trailer and fifth wheel hitches, wire tow vehicles and perform maintenance and repairs
on trailer frames, undercarriage and suspension.

Skills
• Good manual dexterity and balance while working off the ground
• Mechanical, electrical and electronics aptitude; troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
• Good communication, organizational and learning skills
• The desire to upgrade and learn new skills as technology advances
• The ability to work independently and as a team member
• Pride in workmanship and the desire to attain a superior level of expertise
• Desire to be challenged with a variety of tasks that are rarely repetitious in nature

Work Environment:
• The RV Technician works 80% of the time in the Service shop.
• The RV Technician may be required to handle Labeled chemicals, and lift loads in excess of 25 Kilograms.
• They will be required to work the occasional Weekend and evening, especially during the busy Season of April through September.
