Here's a chance to own a piece of 1981 stereo goodness. This system consists of a beautiful STA-960 receiver, the update to the much loved STA-95 with 60 watts of power and huge bass response to move the big 15" woofers of the Mach 1 speakers, it's a very nice pairing. If you're into vinyl this system comes with a really nice Lab-420 turntable with the original Shure cartridge.
The receiver has had the pots cleaned and new bulbs installed, everything works as it's supposed to and cosmetically is a 9/10.
The Mach 1 speakers have had the pots cleaned, banana plugs retrofitted and been recapped, sound is excellent. Cosmetically I would say a 6/10. One speaker has chips in the top and there are cracks in the pot bezels. Original grills are in nice condition and the walnut veneer has been reoiled.
The turntable works as it should, speed adjustment pots were cleaned and it holds speed nicely. I fixed a broken hinge, common on these, not noticeable unless you know what you're looking at. Might need a new needle, I haven't used it much as I stream most of my music now. Cosmetically 8/10
Complete matching systems don't come up for sale often and I'm offering at a price that you would be hard pressed to piece together separately.
