Location: Arkell, ON

Position Overview:
Knightwood Stables is seeking a dedicated and hard-working Equine Farm Hand and Groom. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horses and a strong work ethic with attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:

• Horse Care:
o Feed, Water, and groom horses daily.
o Assist in saddling, bridling, and other pre-ride preparations.
o Clean and maintain horse stalls, paddocks, and other areas as needed.
• Farm Maintenance:
o Perform regular maintenance on paddock fencing.
o Assist in grounds keeping, including mowing, weed management, and cleaning common areas.
• General Support:
o Assist with loading and unloading supplies or horses as needed.
o Assist in organizing and maintaining equipment, feed storage, and hay.
o Work closely with the farm owner or manager to ensure operations run smoothly.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience working with horses.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in various weather conditions.
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
• A valid driver's license is required or a reliable source to travel to and from work.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift up 50lbs.
• Comfortable working in outdoor conditions including in hot or cold weather.
• Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and walk for extended periods of time.
