Founded in 1994 by Ida Campana and conveniently located within minutes of downtown Mississauga, The Conservatory of Music Enhanced Education (CMEE) offers a range of one-on-one music lessons for students of all ages and backgrounds.

Job Overview
CMEE is seeking a passionate and dedicated vocal music Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in early childhood education, vocal performance and/or vocal pedagogy. Previous experience working with students of varying ages and backgrounds is beneficial. Ability to accompany students on guitar or piano would be an asset.

This role involves educating and engaging students in a private music lesson setting, fostering a lifelong love for music and learning. The Instructor will play a vital role in shaping the educational experiences of a diverse roster of vocal students.

Duties

Develop and implement lesson plans that align with educational standards and cater to the diverse needs of students.
Musically educate students, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of materials.
Create a positive and inclusive private lesson environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
Utilize effective techniques to support individual learning styles and help students achieve their private and academic learning goals.
Prepare students for RCM Examinations and annual student performances as needed.
Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to promote continuous improvement.
Maintain a safe and organized lesson room, ensuring materials are readily available for student use.
Communicate regularly with individuals, parents and/or guardians regarding student development and lesson activities.

Qualifications

Extensive background in vocal education and/or performance.
Experience working with students of all ages in an educational setting is helpful.
Strong knowledge of RCM's vocal curriculum, RCM and other lesson books / pedagogy materials, and educational best practices.
Ability to create engaging lesson plans for a variety of genres that incorporate adaptable teaching methods.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to connect with students, parents, and colleagues effectively.
A passion for educating minds and fostering musical growth in a fun and supportive environment.

Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
