Looking to start piano lessons or take your playing to the next level this summer? I'm offering private piano and music theory lessons in Mississauga for students of all ages and levels — from complete beginners to advanced players preparing for exams, competitions, or auditions.

My name is Owen Mok, and I'm a pianist and Master's student at McGill University's Schulich School of Music, where I study Piano Performance with Ilya Poletaev. I completed my Bachelor's degree at McGill with minors in Composition and Music Theory, graduating on the Dean's Honour List and receiving the Outstanding Achievement in Piano Award. I've been fortunate to receive several scholarships for both academic and artistic excellence, including the Graduate Excellence Fellowship, the Edward C. Wood Scholarship, and others.

Over the years, I've had the chance to perform across Canada and abroad. I was a silver medalist at the 2022 Canadian Music Competition, a semifinalist in the Prix d'Europe (2024), and a finalist in McGill's Classical and Romantic Concerto Competitions (2023). I've also participated in masterclasses with world-renowned pianists like Louis Lortie, Ronan O'Hora, Eitan Globerson, Aleksandar Madžar, and Robert Levin. Earlier on, I was a prizewinner at the Peel Music Festival, Ontario Music Festival, and winner of the Hong Kong Schools Music Festival.

- RCM exam preparation
- Music Theory, History, and Analysis of all RCM levels
- Audition/competition coaching
- Customized programs for adult learners
