Carpenter (Temporary Contract)

Sunshine Marina is seeking a Carpenter for this April and May. The ideal candidate has experience working with their hands and using power tools but most importantly, has a positive, keen attitude and a love for lake-life.

We are located on beautiful Lake Koocanusa, 100 km from Cranbrook and 70 km from Fernie in beautiful South Eastern British Columbia. If you love being surrounded by sand, water and a great team of people, join us!

Terms of Employment
● This Position is Temporary (April-May) for approximately 20-30 hours per week.
● Salary: $25-$35 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
● Must be legally available to work in Canada. We are unable to sponsor any applicants at this time.
● Crew Members are expected to reside on-site during their work week, unless they live nearby. Accommodation is available at no charge for this position. Alternatively we can provide you with a campsite if you have your own camper. Those living in staff housing also have access to a shared kitchen, bathrooms, and laundry facilities.

Job Requirements
● Valid Driver's License and your own transportation to our site
● Minimum two years construction experience
● Clean Criminal Record Check

Duties
The project requires a Carpenter to perform a variety of smaller construction and finishing jobs.

Skills
● Eager to Learn: Keen to take on a variety of tasks and continuously expand your skillset
● Job is physically demanding and involves a lot of movement and heavy lifting
● Machinery, equipment and tools experience (please list what machinery/tools you can use)
● Not required but considered an asset: Mechanical, Painting and/or Electrical experience
● Effective Communicator: Confident in interacting with people at all levels and in various settings
● Adaptable: Thrives in dynamic environments, effectively managing changing demands on short notice.
