We are collecting empties for a Charity trip to Peru.


We wanted to teach our children about the world while fostering gratitude for what they have. That's when we decided on volunteering abroad. After exploring programs, the kids chose one in Peru. During the 2025 Christmas holidays, we'll spend three weeks helping at an animal shelter for abandoned and injured animals. We'll also assist in community initiatives like food kitchens and orphanages.

To make this experience more meaningful, we want our children to help fundraise as much of the cost (~$6,500 flights) as possible. They'll be collecting and returning empties (beer, wine, and spirit bottles) and can tabs. The kids will handle cleaning, sorting, and tracking deposits in a dedicated savings account.

We've also created a Facebook page to share updates leading up to and during the trip.
