Treads Shoe Shop is a radical shoemaking business - we make the shoes here in Nova Scotia with skill and dedication learnt from master shoe makers in the UK. The business was started in Nova Scotia in 2018 and has developed into a 'go-to' location for shoe and leather repairs as well as a source for custom, hand made shoes.
The beauty of a pair of hand-made Treads Shoes is that your whole body feels different when you step into them: more in touch with the earth, more relaxed, more yourself.
All the shoes are simple beautiful designs and you can choose the colour of the leather to create a unique pair of shoes just for you. They are fully repairable which keeps shoe-wear out of landfill, providing a sustainable and green ethos as well as maintaining good foot health. We use ethically produced materials to ensure that shoes are of superb fit and comfort. All Men's and Women's styles are made to order in full and half sizes from CAD 5 - 16, and four different width fittings. We also have some standard size shoes available in our shop.
